The Royal Cleopatra is a wind driven vessel and is subject to the weather condition on the Nile River.  A tow boat will accompany your sail along your journey.  In case of wind loss or weather not suitable for sailing, the captain will retain the right to use his own discretion in whether to continue sailing, be towed, or in rare cases move clientele on shore.  If for any unforeseen reason clients are requested to disembark, we will reserve the right to switch your accommodation to either another boat or hotel, but ensure the switch will be made to the same category of hotel/cruise available at that time.

Please note, that the Nile River does have distinct currents and wind directions that are characteristic of this particular river.  Other river rules and regulations for sailing do not apply.  Thus, in no situation will clients be able to intervene in the Captain’s decisions on how to navigate the boat.  The crew is highly skilled in maneuvering this type of vessel and sailing the Nile River.
